Ruby is a ridgeless Rhodesian Ridgeback (we like to call them “Zimbabwe Flatbacks” ) born in November, 2003. She is a daughter of my KKR Tu Tu Tango (Tango) and Int’l & Am CH Kengali’s Solomente Uno (Solo). She is spayed, house trained, crate trained, walks fine on a leash even when attached to the baby stroller, and is VERY well behaved. She responds well to verbal commands such as “out and release” when she has been instructed to sit, stay or wait. She loves having her tummy rubbed which has been done since puppyhood as an ‘alpha’ reinforcement exercise. She absolutely adores her children, gets along well with her other canine companions, and is easy going and a pleasure to be around. She is NOT a counter surfer, but does enjoy her job of cleaning up after the children and being a canine vacuum cleaner!!! She is current on all her shots and wormings and has never had any serious health issues. She has been diagnosed with Hypothroidism and must take a thyroid pill twice a day which she does right along with her food. She loves to be wherever YOU are “Helping” and enjoys exercise and play which she needs to help with her weight control.
Ruby is very much loved by her family who have owned her since she was 8 weeks old. Both of the adults in her family work full time, have 2 children and a third on the way, and feel that Ruby is NOT getting the time and attention she deserves. She is a GREAT dog and we hope to find her another GREAT home where she is loved as much as she has been by all who have known her.
